I bought two of these to put in a bedroom. The style is simple and would go well in a rustic-themed room as well as contemporary. My house is a mixture of the two so these look great.
Two caveats, though:
(1) The mounting screws were way too long and the holes/slots in the mounting plate were at the wrong angle for my electrical box. I bought a set of 1/2" screws with nuts and lock washers and put them in the slots in the mounting plate rather than the threaded holes, so I could adjust the angle of the fixture.
(2) The dark finish on the back plate scratches very easily. The label that says to take care when installing the glass diffuser isn't kidding.

I added this to our stairwell to replace an old ugly fixture. It's well built and looks very nice. The light it puts out is good - not too bright and nicely dispersed on the stairway.
Very easy to put together and mount. The frosted glass piece didn't sit straight and level, so I put a tiny cardboard spacer (not visible unless you are looking for it) at the bottom of each side to make it sit perfectly upright.
